When a loved one dies, the family often does not know how to proceed with funeral and burial arrangements much less how to take care of all the other final affairs that need attention.  Sometimes, there is even conflict of opinions among family members as to what arrangements should be made. 

Therefore, here at the Koller Funeral Home and Cremation Center, in York, PA, we recommend that you consider creating an End-of-Life Plan for yourself, and we have included an End-of-Life Checklist to guide you through the process.  Such a Plan not only includes pre-planning and perhaps pre-funding of your funeral and burial.  If done thoroughly, it should become a package that contains the details of your financials, household information, account information, properties and much more.  Once your plan is created, you will want to place it for safe keeping and speak to your adult children so that they know what to look for when the time comes.  We also recommend speaking to your spouse or life partner as well as your parents to encourage them to create an End-of-Life Plan of their own.
