Funeral Arrangement Conference

Here at the Koller Funeral Home and Cremation Center in York, PA, we are keenly aware that you are going through an emotionally exhausting time as you make arrangements for the funeral / burial of your departed loved one.  We realize this might be the first time you have ever been faced with making end-of-life decisions and that you might be doing so without the benefit of any funeral pre-planning on the part of your loved one who has just died.

At the time of the Funeral Arrangement Conference, you and perhaps other family members will meet with a professionally licensed funeral director, who will guide you through the entire arrangement process.

First, we will review with you the end-of-life plan, if your loved one created one.  We’ll look specifically at the portion that relates to the pre-planning for the funeral / burial.  If your loved one pre-funded the funeral / burial, we will discuss that with you as well.

Then, whether or not a plan exists, we will walk you through all the arrangements and decisions, being careful to follow your wishes as well as those of your loved one, if known.  The process may include:

Preparing / filing the official death certificate

Selecting items including casket, urn, etc.

Confirming details for an obituary notice

Listing pallbearers

Scheduling location, date and time of ceremonies and services

Other logistics depending upon your wishes.

There might also be authorizations or documents that require signature.

You can rely on your funeral director at the Koller Funeral Home and Cremation Center to know exactly what is needed to arrange everything for whatever kind of funeral / burial your family chooses.

Your funeral director will let you know if any information or material beyond what you brought with you to the funeral arrangment conference is needed so that you can arrange to provide it.

The staff at the Koller Funeral Home and Cremation Center will be at your disposal and is committed to working with you to see that you are able to celebrate the life of your departed loved one through the services we provide.
